What is CompTIA Network+?

The CompTIA Network+ examination is a certification exam offered by CompTIA (The Computing Technology Industry Association), a leading provider of vendor-neutral IT certifications. The Network+ certification is designed to validate the skills and knowledge required to design, configure, manage, and troubleshoot wired and wireless networks.

The exam takes 90 minutes to complete, but if you are not native English speaker than you will get extra 35 minutes. Questions are limited to no more than 90 questions, and are composed of 80-86 multiple-choices, 2-4 performance-based questions which also includes drag-and-drop style. A minimal score of 720/900 is needed to pass. The certification is valid for three years.

There is no prerequisites for the examination. It’s recommended that candidates have some experience working with networking technologies before attempting the exam, although it’s not strictly required.
